There is staff that we can use again, which can give it new life, by recycling it. All medical waste must be disposed of separately from the others and cannot be recycled at all. Paper napkins and pizza boxes must also be thrown away: they may have absorbed various substances and therefore cannot be recycled.

Screwable plastic and waste paper tops must be managed separately and cannot be recovered. waste paper, if finely shredded, can be used as compost. In some countries tires cannot be recycled and require separate disposal from other waste.

Plastic yoghurt cups may not be recycled in all municipalities. It depends on the directives, as many centers do not recycle plastic with the numbers three to seven. Shipping envelopes in Tyvek used by the post office and companies are also not recyclable.

Finally, even wet paper may not be accepted for recycling, to avoid both risks of contamination and damage to the fibers. In this historical moment we try to recycle more and more materials and objects, but obviously there are things that must be disposed of and cannot have new life.

Even diapers cannot in any way be recovered or recycled: they must be thrown away together with the unsorted waste. The spray cans contain propellants and chemical substances and, although they are generally made of metal, they must be disposed of without being recovered.

Same goes for ceramics, like the one used for coffee mugs. It cannot be recycled but it can find other creative ways to be used, such as a pen holder or a small flower pot. All hazardous chemical waste, such as household chemicals, antifreeze and other coolants, must be disposed of separately from other waste and cannot be recycled.

Crockery, mirrors and window panes are not practical for recycling. Compact fluorescent bulbs are recyclable, but contain a small amount of mercury. Coated cardboard beverage containers cannot be recovered unless they have been made from recycled material.

Batteries cannot be recycled. There are areas destined for their disposal, both in predisposed ecological areas and even in some shops. Batteries must be managed separately from other waste.
